What does a block of online coaching look like?
Each training block begins with a video coaching call. We discuss your goals, talk through what went well (or didn’t) on the previous block, and go through your upcoming schedule to program around travel, events, etc. You’ll receive a PDF of your next 4 weeks of training. Over the course of the 4 weeks you’ll complete your training sessions on your own while recording any video you would like analyzed. You’ll send your videos and ask any questions during the block. Once you complete the block we will schedule another video coaching call and the process continues. A full year of training is 13 blocks.
Is my training actually “customized”?
YES. Your programming is 100% customized from scratch. Prior to your first training block we discuss your goals, training history, injury history, equipment access, lifestyle, and more. No two clients have the same training plan. If you choose to join us with a training partner, you will each receive a custom program which can be completed together.
How is my programming delivered?
Programming is sent via email and/or WhatsApp in print-friendly PDF format. You can print it out or reference it on your phone – it’s up to you!
How many days a week will I train?
Your training frequency (sessions per week) is completely dependent on your goals, schedule, and lifestyle. Our clients train anywhere from 2 to 6 days per week. Training frequency will change depending on the time of year with your competition schedule, work schedule, travel, and more.
I have a home gym. Will you coach me?
Yes. Several of our clients train out of home gyms with limited equipment. We program according to the equipment you have access to.

I just want help with programming. Can you write me a program without coaching?
Yes. We offer stand-alone custom programming and program evaluation services. Our custom programming is perfect to help you dial in for a competition or open your mind to different training from your current routine. Custom programming without coaching must be a minimum of 8 weeks.
If you don’t want custom programming but want someone to look over your current program, we offer program evaluations. We will examine your current and past programming, discuss your training goals, and offer constructive feedback on how to improve your programming in the future.
What is “performance education”? Will you give me a meal plan?
In our performance education we teach you about all facets of human performance: nutrition, recovery, sleep, stress, and more. You’ll learn real-world dietary skills to fuel your body and enhance your performance. We teach about macro- and micronutrients, supplements, hydration, sleep hygiene, recovery modalities, performance myths, and much more.
Only a registered dietitian (RD) is qualified to prescribe you a specific meal plan. Bradley Barbell can refer you to an RD who can address your meal planning or other specific dietary needs.
