How does in-person training work?
You will meet with your coach for a free initial consultation to see how we can help you achieve your goals. Once joining Bradley Barbell and determining training frequency/scheduling, you’ll be coached through private in-person training sessions in our Altoona, IA facility. You (and a training partner if you choose) are the only one(s) in the facility with your coach. As a Bradley Barbell client, you’ll have an account through TrainHeroic where you can see the training plan for the week on your phone/tablet. Your coach will continually share performance education, update your goals, discuss through what went well (or didn’t) in previous sessions, and talk through your upcoming schedule to adjust around travel and events.
How does remote coaching work?
Bradley Barbell is partnered with TrainHeroic to deliver remote coaching directly to a phone or tablet via the TrainHeroic app. You meet with your coach monthly on a video call to discuss your goals, talk through what went well (or didn’t) on the previous month, and go through your upcoming schedule to program around travel and events. Remote coaching clients complete training sessions on their own while recording and sharing video of any movements they’d like analyzed. Communication occurs directly within the TrainHeroic app and your coach typically responds in less than 12 hours.
Is my training actually “customized”?
YES. Your programming is 100% custom. During on-boarding we discuss your goals, training history, injury history, equipment access, lifestyle, and more. No two clients have the same training plan. If you choose to join us with a training partner, you will each receive custom programming which can be completed together.

We will examine your current and past programming, discuss your training goals, and offer constructive feedback on how to improve your programming in the future.
What is “performance education”?
